First Northern is one of the largest, most progressive credit unions in Illinois, with some of the lowest loan rates in the region. Founded in 1944, we serve those who live or work in 14 counties in northern Illinois, as well as Evanston and Rockford. We also are the preferred credit union for dozens of large employers in the area, including ComEd, Exelon, Northwestern Medicine, and Northwestern University. We have 4 branches, a full suite of electronic services and offer all that the "big banks" do -- but better!
